When I look back upon my childhood in Nanjing, China, I remember often sitting at the foot of both my mother and grandmother’s desks. Each of them was a successful accountant and it meant that my youth was full of looking up to see the numbers and financial information that lined their desks. Even from that young age, the analytical aspects of my family’s work hooked my interest in the financial world and inspired me to take a leap of faith and further my education at a college in America. About
My school of choice was the UC Davis, where I graduated in three years with high honors, a major in managerial economics, an emphasis in international business and economics, and a minor in technology management. UC Davis also gifted me the opportunity to meet my now husband, Austin, on our very first day of school.
During my college years, I used my free time to gain as much hands-on experience as possible. In the summer of 2016, I went back to China to work with the Bank of Communications as a commercial loan manager’s assistant. Upon returning, I attended Morgan Stanley’s financial training program to learn how to analyze companies and finances through quantitative data. Then, in 2018, I interned with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) while studying in Washington DC.
As an Edward Jones financial advisor, it’s my goal to use my education, previous experience, and Edward Jones’ many resources to help the individuals and small businesses, who may be ignored by big corporate companies.
